Terms of Use

Last updated September 2026. Short, and written to be read.

What this service is

5-Axis Machining Services is a matching service. We read the request you send, shortlist machine shops that can make the part and introduce you to them. We do not own machines, we do not manufacture, and we are not a party to the contract you sign with a shop.

What we do not promise

We introduce shops on the evidence they give us and the checks described on the about page. We do not guarantee a shop's quality, delivery, certification status or solvency, and we do not guarantee that a request will find a match at all. Verify certifications yourself before you place an order. For AS9100 that means the IAQG OASIS database, and for ITAR it means the registration status a shop can evidence.

Quotes, orders and payment

Any quote, order, price, lead time and payment term is agreed between you and the shop. Money never passes through us on a part order, and we take no commission on it.

Your drawings and information

You keep every right you already hold in your drawings, models and specifications. You give us permission to show a shop enough of the request to decide whether it can make the part, and to pass your files to the shops you approve. How that works in detail, including NDAs, is on the privacy page.

Only send files you are allowed to send. If a drawing belongs to your customer, make sure you can share it before you upload it.

Shops and vendors

A shop that registers confirms the information it gives us is accurate and that it will keep it current. A vendor that contacts us is not buying placement: nothing on this site is paid, and a mention in a guide is editorial.

Acceptable use

Do not submit requests you have no intention of buying, scrape the site, or use it to collect the identity of shops for another purpose. We can decline or stop a request or a registration at any time.

Limits

The site and the introductions are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from a shop's work, a missed delivery, a rejected part or a decision you take on information you read here. Technical figures in our guides are typical industry values for orientation, not a specification for your part.

Changes

We update these terms when the service changes and the date at the top moves with them.
